Iran\u2019s news agency reported the start of what it called a \u201ccrushing Iranian response,\u201d with the launch of hundreds of ballistic missiles toward Israel in retaliation for the Israeli army’s operation dubbed \u201cRising Lion\u201d on Iranian territory.<\/p>\n
Israeli media reported a fire near the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Tel Aviv, noting that rockets had struck seven areas in central Israel.<\/p>\n
According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, 17 Israelis were injured as a result of the Iranian missile strikes.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency claimed that an Israeli fighter jet pilot had been captured during an operation targeting the aircraft. However, an Israeli army spokesperson denied that a fighter jet had been downed or that the pilot had been captured.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the Israeli army stated that dozens of fighter jets carried out an initial strike deep inside Iran.
