Iran’s armed forces said Sunday they targeted multiple sites in Israel including Ben Gurion airport, after US attacks on key nuclear sites in Iran.<\/p>\n
“The twentieth wave of Operation Honest Promise 3 began using a combination of long-range liquid and solid fuel missiles with devastating warhead power,” the armed forces said in a statement quoted by Fars news agency.<\/p>\n
The targets included the airport, a “biological research center,\u201d logistics bases and various layers of command and control centres, it added.<\/p>\n
Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guard said it launched 40 missiles, including its Khorramshahr-4, during the attack on Israel on Sunday morning. Iran has said the Khorramshahr-4 can carry multiple warheads.<\/p>\n
The Israeli Health Ministry says Iranian attacks overnight and into Sunday have wounded more than 80 people.<\/p>\n
The vast majority, more than 70, were lightly wounded, it said.<\/p>\n
Several buildings were also damaged.<\/p>\n
Shortly after the Iranian missile barrage, Israel announced its warplanes were conducting strikes on \u201cmilitary targets\u201d in western Iran.<\/p>\n
The United States attacked three sites in Iran early Sunday.<\/p>\n
