The commander of the Rapid Support Forces militia, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo \u201cHemedti,\u201d announced on Sunday that disputes with Egypt can be resolved through direct dialogue rather than media spats.<\/p>\n
In a speech to his forces in Darfur, Hemedti expressed his willingness for “dialogue at the table” with Egypt, saying: \u201cWe respect our Egyptian neighbors, and any problem can be solved through dialogue and discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hemedti acknowledged his forces’ defeat and their expulsion from areas he described as “precious,” adding: \u201cWe were expelled from valuable areas and lost what we hold dearest.\u201d<\/p>\n
The militia leader addressed the leaders of armed movements, specifically the head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Minni Arko Minnawi, and the head of the Justice and Equality Movement, Gibril Ibrahim, saying: \u201cWe have no problem with Minnawi and Gibril. If they come to us today, they are welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n
