On Friday, Sudan\u2019s General Intelligence Service (GIS) dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to White Nile State.<\/p>\n
The convoy was received by the state\u2019s governor, Lieutenant General Qamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Mola, the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, and several prominent figures from the state.<\/p>\n
Major General Abu Ubaida Mirghani, the representative of the GIS Director General, described White Nile State as the “state of resilience” that safeguarded Sudan\u2019s rear. He considered it a key player in defeating the militia by preventing their entry. While delivering the support convoy provided by the GIS, he stated that this is only the beginning and that more support will follow, recognizing the state\u2019s vital role in intelligence gathering, data analysis, and strategic response to the enemy.<\/p>\n
Mirghani emphasized that the state deserves additional aid for hosting all segments of Sudanese society without restriction and for how quickly the displaced population integrated with local communities\u2014crediting this to the “nature of the people of White Nile.” He added that the GIS actively monitors and counters security breaches and contributes militarily, socially, and developmentally. He stressed that their operations have dealt significant blows to the rebellion, crippling its military and intelligence capabilities.
