U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that the next focus of the U.S. State Department is Sudan, with the aim of stopping the war and achieving peace.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the sidelines of the peace agreement signing between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo\u2014an agreement brokered and facilitated by the United States with Qatari support\u2014Rubio said from inside the Colin Powell Treaty Room in Washington (Friday) that his senior advisor for African affairs, Mossad Boulos, will now turn his attention to Sudan after concluding an agreement between the parties in Congo and Rwanda.<\/p>\n
According to the U.S. State Department website, Rubio addressed his advisor during the signing ceremony, saying: \u201cWe are excited to be part of this agreement. Once again, I want to thank everyone here in the Africa Bureau at the State Department\u2026 and the star who carried out this work, Mr. Boulos. What do you want to do after finishing this?\u201d<\/p>\n
