Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris received a vision from a group of scholars and preachers supporting the orientation of the \u201cGovernment of Hope\u201d during the transitional period. The vision aims to strengthen national healing, combat hate speech, dismantle narrow regional discourses, and unify the internal front and social fabric.<\/p>\n
This came during a meeting in his office in Port Sudan with a delegation of scholars, imams, and preachers representing various regions of Sudan. The meeting was part of ongoing discussions to engage community components in creating a suitable environment for the transitional period. Dr. Idris praised the role of scholars and preachers, appreciated the meeting, and instructed that such meetings be held regularly, affirming the Prime Minister\u2019s Office would ensure that.<\/p>\n
Dr. Mohamed Al-Amin Ismail, a member of the delegation, stated in a press release that the meeting discussed several issues related to the role of imams and preachers in spreading awareness and promoting internal cohesion to ensure the success of the transitional period.<\/p>\n
He added that the delegation presented a comprehensive reform vision, drawn from their experience and expertise, to support national development aligned with the government\u2019s goals of reform and progress from scientific, intellectual, and social perspectives.<\/p>\n
Professor Saleh Al-Tom, another member of the delegation, affirmed the preachers\u2019 and imams\u2019 support for the Armed Forces in the \u201cWar of Dignity\u201d against the rebel militia. He declared their backing of the Prime Minister\u2019s initiatives to steer the country to safety and commended the Prime Minister\u2019s inspiring national speech, which renewed hope among the Sudanese people.<\/p>\n
The meeting also addressed ways to ensure the success of the Prime Minister\u2019s mission, support the Armed Forces and their allies in the War of Dignity, and contribute to Sudan\u2019s reconstruction project launched by the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.<\/p>\n
