{"id":51016,"date":"2025-07-05T23:52:33","date_gmt":"2025-07-05T20:52:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/?p=51016"},"modified":"2025-07-05T23:52:33","modified_gmt":"2025-07-05T20:52:33","slug":"government-accuses-uae-of-exploiting-international-platforms-to-defend-the-militia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/05\/government-accuses-uae-of-exploiting-international-platforms-to-defend-the-militia\/","title":{"rendered":"Government Accuses UAE of Exploiting International Platforms to Defend the Militia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of exploiting its presence in international and regional forums to defend the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and attempting to shield them from condemnation for their terrorist actions and efforts to dismantle Sudan.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released Saturday, the ministry said it had observed &#8220;the desperate efforts of the Abu Dhabi regime\u2019s delegation during last week\u2019s Non-Aligned Movement meetings at the expert level in New York to exclude any reference to solidarity with Sudan in the draft statement and to avoid labeling the terrorist militia as a rebel entity against national legitimacy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The statement added, \u201cThe delegation also attempted to insert a clause referring to a parallel government that the UAE seeks to establish in defiance of international legitimacy, represented by the UN Security Council, the African Union, the Arab League, and other regional and international organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It further noted that all these organizations \u201cunanimously rejected and condemned the announcement of that false entity, which was stillborn and rejected by the Sudanese people from the outset.\u201d The statement continued, \u201cThese exposed moves highlight the organic relationship between the Abu Dhabi regime and the terrorist militia, exposing the UAE as a rogue state violating international norms and diplomatic ethics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ministry stressed that these efforts support what international media has revealed about the UAE&#8217;s full support and sponsorship of the RSF leadership and its operations, referencing a recent investigative report by The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>The statement warned that \u201cthe UAE\u2019s destructive role in multilateral meetings concerning Sudan remains evident,\u201d pointing to similar interference during meetings of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul last June and Arab League Council meetings. The UAE\u2019s main goal, the ministry said, has been to block condemnations of the RSF and avoid responsibility for the militia\u2019s crimes of genocide, terrorism, grave human rights violations, and breaches of Sudanese sovereignty.<\/p>\n<p>The Foreign Ministry called on \u201cthe entire international community\u2014its states and organizations\u2014not to allow the UAE to use global forums to encourage impunity and protect terrorism and genocide as embodied by the Janjaweed militia and its regional sponsor.\u201d It also reminded the world that \u201cthe terrorist Janjaweed militia, under full backing from the UAE, continues its aggression against the Sudanese people, the national state, and all aspects of their lives,\u201d and that the militia poses a threat to regional peace and security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of exploiting its presence in international and regional forums to defend the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and attempting to shield them from condemnation for their terrorist actions and efforts to dismantle Sudan.
