The Governor of the Red Sea State, Lt. Gen. Mustafa Mohamed Nour, affirmed that the Sovereign Council and the state government fully support the Yass Pass Road project, considering it a national road that would boost investment in the region and meet citizens\u2019 aspirations.<\/p>\n
During his inspection visit on Saturday, accompanied by several company managers and tribal leaders from the localities of Ganaeb and Al-Olib, the governor reviewed the final stages of opening the Yass Pass National Road. He confirmed the state government’s commitment to paving 3 kilometers\u2014the main section of the pass road linking the Red Sea and Nile States\u2014and added that future plans are in place to pave the entire road to ensure its economic viability.<\/p>\n
The governor stated that the opening of the Yass Pass National Road will facilitate the transport of gold from production areas to milling centers, making it ready for export and thus supporting the economy. It will also enable the movement of fruit transport vehicles between the Nile and Red Sea states. The road, which will significantly reduce travel distances, will be opened to all types of vehicles once the paving is completed, thanks to the collective efforts of local communities and technicians. It is expected to contribute to the economy and facilitate transportation between the two states.<\/p>\n
Chief Ali Mahmoud, leader of the Amarar tribes and independent tribal chieftains, praised the Sovereign Council and Red Sea State government for supporting the Yass Pass Road project, emphasizing its importance. He commended the efforts of workers and the technical committee, noting that the project\u2014now in its final phase before paving\u2014requires additional support and equipment to complete the remaining work.<\/p>\n
