The Sudan Doctors\u2019 Network said that a force belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) committed what it described as a \u201cheinous crime\u201d on Thursday evening in the Al-Thawra neighborhood of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, killing a woman and abducting five residents, who were taken to an undisclosed location.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on Friday, the network said it still had no information on the fate of the abductees, describing the incident as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a direct threat to civilian lives and community peace.<\/p>\n
The network held the RSF fully responsible for the crime, calling for the immediate and unconditional release of the abductees, as well as urgent and effective protection for civilians.<\/p>\n
It also urged the international community, the UN Human Rights Commission, and relevant bodies to assume their moral and humanitarian responsibilities toward civilians in the Darfur region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
