During a meeting at the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow, Vershinin welcomed Sudan\u2019s Ambassador to Russia, Mohamed Al-Ghazali Siraj, and Sudan\u2019s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Al-Harith Idris. He praised the high level of coordination between the two countries in international forums, particularly the cooperation between their missions in New York on Security Council issues concerning Sudan.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Mohamed Al-Ghazali provided a comprehensive briefing on developments in Sudan, highlighting the actions taken by militias and their backers, including the declaration of the so-called \u201cPresidential Council of the Sudanese Establishment Alliance\u201d led by rebel leader Hemeti, and the distribution of fictitious positions to alliance leaders, known as the \u201cparallel government.\u201d He noted that this move has drawn widespread condemnation from both regional and international communities for undermining Sudan\u2019s sovereignty and territorial unity.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ambassador Al-Harith Idris praised the distinguished coordination between Sudan and Russia at the UN missions, expressing gratitude for Russia\u2019s supportive stance toward Sudan and its principled position backing the country\u2019s unity and sovereignty.<\/p>\n
He also reviewed the latest developments on the UN Security Council\u2019s Sudan agenda, affirming confidence in Russia\u2019s continued support for Sudan\u2019s positions.<\/p>\n
