The battle followed a massive eight-hour assault by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on El Fasher from all directions. The division hailed it as an unparalleled heroic epic in the \u201cWar of Dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a press briefing, the division reported that the militia had suffered heavy losses in both personnel and equipment, announcing the killing of Colonel Khala Abdelaziz \u201cAb Karanki\u201d from Kabkabiya, militia leader Saleh, commander of Group 37, and Ahmed Saleh, deputy commander of artillery. A large number of vehicles and military machines were destroyed or burned, with efforts still underway to count them. The statement added that the remaining RSF fighters fled the battlefield, abandoning their dead, wounded, and vehicles in the \u201cField of Dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the briefing, the sounds of Dushka guns, quad-mounted cannons, and internationally banned shells pounding the city at the onset of the battle were extremely intense, but the resolve of the armed forces\u2019 warriors, steadfast for over two years, held firm until victory was secured\u2014avenging the martyrs and restoring citizens\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n<p>The 6th Infantry Division\u2019s command expressed gratitude to its fighters, the Joint Force, the police, intelligence, popular resistance, and mobilized volunteers. \u201cYou have lifted our heads high and proven that Sudan will never be taken through El Fasher, the Sultan\u2019s city,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the enemy, the division declared: \u201cTo those boasting about raising the militia\u2019s flag over our headquarters\u2014come now, but this time to collect the corpses of your commanders and mercenaries from El Fasher\u2019s outskirts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The division reaffirmed that the security situation in the city is stable, thanks to the cohesion of all forces, whose high morale is accompanied by the ululations of women in the neighborhoods.
