Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, said the Battle of Dignity has united Sudanese around a common goal \u2014 to devote their time to work and reconstruction in a manner befitting the dignity of the Sudanese people.<\/p>\n
Addressing an event on Thursday attended by Khartoum State Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza and several state security leaders, Jaber inaugurated rehabilitation works at Khartoum\u2019s central market, organized by the Committee for Dignity and Services to restore the market and bring traders back following systematic looting by the Dagalo family\u2019s terrorist militia.<\/p>\n
Jaber pledged his personal commitment to follow up on all requirements for reconstruction and market rehabilitation in coordination with the state government and relevant authorities, to ensure security in the central market and across southern Khartoum.<\/p>\n
He reaffirmed the committee\u2019s commitment to fulfilling its obligations, working in coordination with the market committee under a well-planned strategy to rebuild the market, restore electricity and water services, and improve sanitation \u2014 noting that the market is one of the country\u2019s most important food sources.<\/p>\n
Marking the centenary of the Sudanese army and the 71st anniversary of the Sudanization of its leadership, Jaber saluted troops deployed on all fronts, paying tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces and the Sudanese people who gave their lives for the homeland.<\/p>\n
For his part, Governor Hamza praised the efforts of Khartoum locality workers and the state security committee in preparing the market for the resumption of commercial activity.
