The assault involved significant participation from the Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Movement \u2013 North, led by Abdelaziz Al-Hilu, alongside large groups of foreign mercenaries.<\/p>\n<p>Bakhit highlighted that the Sixth Infantry Division, the joint force, police, intelligence, and popular resistance displayed extraordinary courage in repelling the violent assault, forcing the enemy to flee and shattering the militia\u2019s ambitions to seize El Fasher.<\/p>\n<p>The governor congratulated the armed forces and allied units on their victories, affirming the government\u2019s full support in the effort to lift the siege on El Fasher.
