Saudi Ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jafar, expressed his country\u2019s hope that El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, will be freed from siege and receive humanitarian aid. He reiterated Saudi Arabia\u2019s commitment, since the Jeddah Declaration, to finding ways to stop the war and restore a unified and thriving Sudan.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a briefing in El Fasher organized by the Sovereignty Council\u2019s Humanitarian Affairs Office for ambassadors and diplomatic mission heads, the ambassador described scenes in a short film on local conditions as extremely painful, particularly one showing a person killed on camera. He called on the UN and international community to work urgently to lift the siege.<\/p>\n
He also confirmed Saudi Arabia\u2019s readiness to provide humanitarian assistance to El Fasher and other affected areas through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, stating, \u201cWe will ensure aid reaches those in need.\u201d<\/p>\n
