The agency has provided hygiene kits and medical supplies to the affected areas.<\/p>\n<p>The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said it will review findings from the ongoing assessment mission on Tuesday to determine further needs.<\/p>\n<p>The assessment team, which included UN agencies, international, and local organizations, had to transport aid on pack animals, taking more than 12 hours to reach the isolated, flood-hit village.<\/p>\n<p>OCHA confirmed that life-saving aid has already been delivered to over 1,000 people, with urgent needs including food, health services, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene support.<\/p>\n<p>Mobile medical teams treated families suffering from minor illnesses, screened children for malnutrition, and provided care for trauma, malaria, and cholera cases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) reported Monday that a landslide in the village of Tirsin in Jebel Marra, Darfur, has left 375 people dead.
