Al Jazeera\u2019s correspondent reported that floodwaters submerged several homes, warning of rising risks.<\/p>\n<p>The report noted local youth initiatives to build sand barriers to block water from entering houses, though limited resources constrain such efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The Sudanese News Agency said Khartoum\u2019s acting executive director, Kamal Awad al-Karim, inspected vulnerable areas along the White and Blue Nile\u2014including Rumaila, al-Azouzab, Daajib, and Tuti.<\/p>\n<p>Awad al-Karim assured residents that the situation remained stable \u201cunless new developments arise,\u201d stressing readiness to respond through the local flood emergency system.
