The Sudanese Air Force on Thursday launched a series of precision airstrikes targeting Rapid Support Forces (RSF) positions around the city of Al-Nahud in West Kordofan State, as part of ongoing military escalation now entering its second year.<\/p>\n
The strikes focused on Al-Nahud, Al-Khuwei, Al-Hamadi, and Al-Debeibat \u2014 areas the RSF has used as supply and staging bases for its operations.<\/p>\n
Military field sources told Ultra Sudan that the army\u2019s warplanes targeted RSF positions inside and east of Al-Nahud, as well as in Sareef Ankoosh, Al-Muqaisim, and west of Al-Khuwei.<\/p>\n
The sources said the air raids destroyed at least ten combat vehicles and killed dozens of RSF fighters, including recently graduated recruits mobilized to attack army-held areas such as El-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan, and Umm Sumayma, which the army recently recaptured.<\/p>\n
The air force also bombed an RSF meeting west of Umm Sumayma, reportedly killing at least 40 fighters and wounding dozens more, including field commanders.<\/p>\n
