Prime Minister Kamel Idris described his recent visit to the Eritrean capital, Asmara, as \u201chistoric,\u201d expressing Sudan\u2019s gratitude \u2014 on behalf of its government and people \u2014 for Eritrea\u2019s unwavering support during the country\u2019s recent hardships.<\/p>\n
He praised President Isaias Afwerki as \u201cAfrica\u2019s Knight,\u201d noting that the two countries will embark on productive economic partnerships in sectors such as fisheries, mining, and other joint ventures.<\/p>\n
During a meeting on Friday with members of the Sudanese community in Asmara, Idris outlined the framework of the \u201cGovernment of Hope,\u201d commending the significant role played by the embassy\u2019s advisory council. He reassured the community of improving services and security conditions in Khartoum State, as well as ongoing efforts to facilitate return and reconstruction projects in the capital.<\/p>\n
For his part, Foreign Minister Mohy El-Din Salem expressed his satisfaction with the visit, emphasizing that it reflects a new strategic vision for bilateral relations.
\nHe praised both President Afwerki and Prime Minister Idris as visionary African political leaders, describing the relationship between the two nations as a \u201ctrue partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n
