He expressed the Bank\u2019s readiness to intervene within the next two months to back reconstruction and economic recovery projects\u2014particularly in the sectors of health, education, and environment\u2014as part of the World Bank\u2019s broader efforts to assist Sudan.<\/p>\n<p>During a meeting on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings in New York, Sudan\u2019s Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Mohamed Nour Abdel Daim, noted that Sudan is currently on the path toward a civilian transition and implementing economic and institutional reforms aimed at supporting the transitional phase and boosting reconstruction and recovery efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Meetings of the African Group at the World Bank also witnessed the announcement of a new initiative by the Bank\u2019s president to invest in infrastructure supporting transformation in the agricultural sector and creating sustainable jobs through partnerships between the private sector and smallholder farmers.
