Chairman of Sudan\u2019s Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, accompanied by Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris, Director General of the Defense Industries System, offered condolences on Saturday to the family of the late Lieutenant Colonel Muzammil Abdullah Mirghani Zarroug in Atbara, River Nile State. The officer was killed in the city of El Fasher.<\/p>\n
Al-Burhan stated that the Armed Forces continue to sacrifice \u201cbattalions of martyrs\u201d to preserve the nation\u2019s unity, sovereignty, and security. He emphasized the vital role and sacrifices of the Armed Forces and supporting units in protecting the country.<\/p>\n
He noted that the martyrdom of Lt. Col. Muzammil Abdullah in El Fasher carried profound significance, symbolizing the cohesion and unity of the Sudanese people. Al-Burhan reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain the nation\u2019s shield against its enemies.<\/p>\n
He also extended condolences to local community leaders who were killed on Friday in the Mazroub area, stressing that the army does not target any tribe or region.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur mission is to confront the enemy, wherever it may be,\u201d he said, adding that the army will continue to fight until the threat is eliminated.<\/p>\n
Al-Burhan declared that there would be no negotiations with any party, whether it be the \u201cQuartet\u201d or others.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are ready to engage only in talks that serve Sudan\u2019s interests, restore its dignity and unity, and end the war in a way that prevents any future rebellion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that those genuinely seeking peace and prioritizing the interests of the Sudanese people are welcome.<\/p>\n
