Sudanese Minister of Minerals, Nour Al-Daim Mohamed Ahmed Taha, has invited Chinese companies to invest in Sudan\u2019s mining sector.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Thursday at the Tianjin Mining Conference 2025 in Tianjin, China\u2014which brought together African mining ministers, industry experts, and leading global mining companies\u2014the Minister highlighted Sudan\u2019s investment-friendly environment, including incentives, facilities, and progressive regulations designed to attract foreign investors.<\/p>\n
He underscored Sudan\u2019s vast mineral wealth, ranging from precious metals such as gold to energy minerals like cobalt, lithium, and copper, in addition to strategic and rare minerals.<\/p>\n
The Minister also urged African countries to maximize the benefits of their mineral resources through local production, processing, and value addition prior to export\u2014rather than relying on raw material exports\u2014so as to promote sustainable development and strengthen national economies.<\/p>\n
