Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris has reiterated the Hope Government\u2019s commitment to supporting and developing the agricultural sector, describing it as a cornerstone for achieving the country\u2019s economic development.<\/p>\n
This came during his meeting on Wednesday with Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Prof. Dr. Ismat Qureshi Abdullah, who briefed the Prime Minister on his recent visit to the Northern State to assess preparations for the winter farming season and address the challenges facing its success.<\/p>\n
The Minister noted that the Northern State is preparing to cultivate over one million feddans this winter season \u2014 including 300,000 feddans for wheat and 100,000 feddans for Egyptian beans \u2014 in a move expected to strengthen the country\u2019s food security.<\/p>\n
He also informed the Prime Minister about his inspection visit to Nile Poultry Company, a subsidiary of the Ministry\u2019s Agricultural Development Authority, highlighting the company\u2019s major achievements and its ongoing role in social responsibility programs in the Northern and River Nile States.
