Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan denounced the horrific scenes emerging from Sudan as \u201ca grave test for humanity,\u201d warning that silence in the face of injustice makes one complicit.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the TRT World Forum 2025 in Istanbul, Erdo\u011fan stood before a map of Sudan to highlight the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Darfur, particularly in El Fasher.
\n\u201cWe cannot remain among those who stay silent in the face of oppression. Every person with a conscience must raise their voice against tyranny,\u201d Erdo\u011fan said.
\n\u201cNo one with a moral compass can accept the massacres targeting civilians in El Fasher,\u201d he added, condemning the atrocities in the strongest terms.<\/p>\n
He stressed that the footage shared by journalists \u201cshakes the conscience of humanity,\u201d underlining the vital role of the press in exposing the truth. Erdo\u011fan called for an immediate halt to the attacks and the protection of innocent civilians, saying: \u201cLet no man shed his brother\u2019s blood, and let not children, women, and civilians die \u2014 this is a basic demand of humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n
Erdo\u011fan affirmed Turkey\u2019s readiness to support and protect victims, stating that \u201cobservation alone is not enough \u2014 there must be intervention and support.\u201d
\nHe urged the international community not to ignore the massacres in El Fasher and to take \u201cconcrete and urgent steps.\u201d
