Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki said that the city of El-Fasher is not the core of Sudan\u2019s crisis, stressing that the real issue lies in the targeting of Sudan \u2014 both its people and its state \u2014 by regional and international powers seeking to complicate the country\u2019s strategic situation and prolong the conflict.<\/p>\n
In an exclusive interview with Cairo News Channel, Afwerki said that the current situation in Sudan is a direct result of foreign ambitions, emphasizing that it is the duty of neighboring countries to support the Sudanese people and help them rid themselves of external interference so they can rebuild their state on independent national foundations.<\/p>\n
He explained that local issues, such as the crisis in El-Fasher and other regions, are merely reflections of a broader problem \u2014 foreign interference aimed at creating a state of perpetual instability within Sudan and across its regional surroundings.<\/p>\n
