Jens Laerke, spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said millions of Sudanese are in desperate need of assistance, with civilians and aid workers being killed with impunity amid rampant sexual violence. He called for secure access to humanitarian aid and for stronger protection and support for local organizations.<\/p>\n
