Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan has pledged to continue his country\u2019s diplomatic efforts to help achieve peace and stability in Sudan.<\/p>\n
Speaking to reporters on his return from Azerbaijan on Saturday, Erdo\u011fan said: \u201cWe will continue our diplomatic efforts to ensure peace and security in Sudan. We cannot simply stand by and watch what is happening there.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cNo action can succeed without a plan \u2014 planning comes first, then implementation. Sudan is a nation that has long looked to Turkey for help, and every tragedy that unfolds there pains our hearts.\u201d<\/p>\n
Erdo\u011fan noted that thousands of people have lost their lives in Sudan over the past two years, with millions displaced or exiled, and children suffering from hunger and disease.<\/p>\n
He expressed hope that the conflict would end soon and that bloodshed between \u201cbrothers in Sudan\u201d would cease, saying: \u201cWhat is happening weighs heavily on the conscience of humanity.
