Adeoye revealed high-level and ongoing coordination between the AU and the United Nations, represented by UN Envoy to Sudan Ramtane Lamamra, to unify platforms and avoid fragmented initiatives.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a press conference in Addis Ababa marking the launch of the \u201cAU Journal on Reconstruction,\u201d he reaffirmed the AU\u2019s firm stance on external meddling, saying: \u201cRegarding foreign interventions, we will not allow anyone to inflame the conflict. We condemn all forms of interference in Sudan.\u201d<\/p>\n
He underscored the urgency of an immediate ceasefire and the need to give political actors space to launch a national dialogue. He also stressed the importance of ensuring accountability for grave violations.<\/p>\n
Adeoye declared full AU support for investigations into atrocities committed in Darfur, in coordination with the African Commission on Human and Peoples\u2019 Rights, and called for all perpetrators to be brought to justice.<\/p>\n
