The Ministry of Petroleum of South Sudan announced on Wednesday the resumption of full crude oil exports through the main pipeline leading to Port Sudan on the Red Sea, following a temporary suspension caused by drone attacks by militias targeting key installations in the Heglig and Al-Jabalain oil fields in South Kordofan near the Sudanese border.
\nDeputy Minister of Petroleum Eng. Deng Lual Wol stated that oil flow has returned to normal levels, highlighting that maintenance and engineering teams completed repairs swiftly, in coordination with the sector\u2019s operating companies.
\nHe added that the government has strengthened security measures around oil facilities and pipelines, working closely with the Sudanese Armed Forces and security authorities in Khartoum, to prevent future attacks.
