On Tuesday, the Sudanese army announced that it had repelled a large-scale attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on the headquarters of the 22nd Infantry Division, the main military base in West Kordofan state.
\nIn a statement published on the official Armed Forces page, the army said, \u201cOur forces at the 22nd Infantry Division in Babnusa were able to repel an attack launched by the rebellious Al-Dagalo militia early Tuesday, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment.\u201d
\nThe army clarified that it seized a number of combat vehicles and destroyed others, while killing several field commanders of the militia and hundreds of mercenaries.
