Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Dr. Amina Mirghani Hassan Al-Tom, affirmed that Nile River State has been a refuge for all who arrived\u2014whether for work or fleeing the recent rebellion. She noted that the state played a pivotal role in the success of the national currency replacement project, and has also made significant contributions to the war effort and the broader economic battle.<\/p>\n
During her meeting on Sunday with Governor of Nile River State Dr. Mohammed Al-Badawi in Al-Damer, she pledged full cooperation and commitment to resolving banking and financing challenges in the state.<\/p>\n
Governor Al-Badawi welcomed her visit and briefed her on the state\u2019s financial, economic, and investment performance\u2014particularly during the \u201cBattle of Dignity\u201d\u2014and highlighted the surge in investment inflows. He attributed this to reforms introduced by the state\u2019s Investment Ministry, including streamlined procedures, a one-stop system, fee reductions, and expedited processing.<\/p>\n
He added that the state has received a massive influx of displaced people\u2014six times its population\u2014yet managed to provide services to them. He also outlined the state\u2019s contributions to the war effort, including convoys dispatched to support the armed forces and allied units, as well as assistance to areas devastated by the rebellion.<\/p>\n
Al-Badawi noted that more than 6,000 new arrivals from Darfur\u2014particularly El-Fasher\u2014had recently reached the state, placing additional pressure on services.
