Hasaballah had volunteered with local emergency response teams, which became targets amid the ongoing civil war.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly three years into Sudan\u2019s devastating conflict, the death toll is estimated to exceed 150,000, while more than 21 million people face severe hunger. In 2025 alone, 30.4 million people out of a total population of 46.8 million require humanitarian assistance.<\/p>\n<p>Due to irregular international aid delivery, local heroes like Hasaballah have stepped up to serve millions across the country.
