Sudan officially informed the SC at the session of its request to bring to an end the mission\u2019s work immediately citing the disappointing performance of the organization and that it did not meet needs.<br \/>\nBalimba, an official with the UN mission who was speaking at a training workshop with civil society organizations and human rights defenders in Entebbe, Uganda, added that the Council will take a decision on Sudan\u2019s request shortly.<br \/>\nSudan had previously announced its commitment to deal constructively with the United Nations Security Council to reach a new formula governing the relationship between the two parties.
