Adversaries and rivals will never cease plotting or pursuing their own interests. If that is the case, should we simply conclude that achieving our national objectives is impossible?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The first reality we must acknowledge is that Sudan urgently needs to restore the spirit of collective action in service of the nation. That spirit has been steadily eroded by opportunistic alliances and expedient political compromises. Genuine enthusiasm for true national partnership can only be revived through a shared foundation of core principles\u2014principles embraced through mutual consent rather than silent acquiescence, and through conviction rather than submission.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The second reality that demands recognition is that political bargaining and compromise\u2014particularly those driven by tribal, regional, and at times personal considerations\u2014have failed to produce the most capable individuals to achieve the nation&#8217;s highest aspirations. Political expediency and so-called political correctness have increasingly taken precedence over genuine suitability and sound judgment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>There is little doubt that the ruling party and its allies require a serious process of self-assessment. Indeed, this need was implicitly acknowledged when the party adopted the campaign slogan of &#8220;Leading Reform and Completing the Renaissance.&#8221; Such an ambitious vision carries immense responsibilities that cannot be fulfilled by continuing with business as usual.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reform cannot remain merely a slogan unless people genuinely perceive that meaningful action has departed from old patterns and that real transformation has surpassed rhetorical promises.
