The Council paid tribute to the country&#8217;s fallen soldiers, wished a speedy recovery to the wounded, called for the release of captives, and expressed hope for the safe return of those still missing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Council also reviewed the preparedness and operational readiness of the Sudanese Armed Forces, regular forces, and supporting forces to defend the country and safeguard its security and sovereignty. It discussed the challenges facing national security and adopted a number of decisions and measures designed to reinforce the rule of law and combat organized crime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Among its key decisions was the establishment of special courts to handle cases involving narcotics offenses, human trafficking, and the smuggling of weapons and gold.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Council also prohibited members of the regular and supporting forces from being present in mining areas and ordered the confiscation of military weapons and vehicles found in violation of the directive.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Security and Defense Council reaffirmed the state&#8217;s commitment to taking all necessary measures to protect national security, strengthen the rule of law, and confront all security threats in order to preserve the country&#8217;s stability and ensure the safety of its citizens.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sudanese Security and Defense Council convened on Sunday under the chairmanship of General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces.
