He pointed to what he described as positive outcomes from his meeting last October in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, with the alliance of anti-war forces.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He added that his consultations had also included the Democratic Bloc and the Sumoud Alliance, led by former Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The UN envoy described the conflict as a &#8220;war against civilians&#8221; and praised the role of the Quintet and Quad groups in efforts to reach a settlement.
