Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah<\/strong><\/p>\n The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development has announced an increase in peanuts productivity for small farmers in Sudan during the period 2015 – 2021 (tons\/ha), achieving an increase in productivity by a rate ranging between 66% – 199%.<\/p>\n The ( AAAID ) said that the increase in wheat yield ranged between 50% – 163%.<\/p>\n The Chairman of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrouei, made the remark in his before the Arab Food Security and Sustainability Workshop titled” The Arab Authority\u2019s Experience in Localizing Climate-Smart Agricultural Technologies in the Small Farmers Sector”, within the activities of the COP28 conference, pavilion of the League of Arab States, on December 10, 2023, Expo Dubai – United Arab Emirates, to use technology programs.<\/p>\n Besides, he said, the number of beneficiaries of the program to finance small farmers and producers in Arab countries during the period 2013-2022 was about 498, has now reached one thousand beneficiaries.<\/p>\n AAAID stated that the development programs implemented during the period 2013-2022 amounted to 184 programs, which included activities related to the development of plant and animal production, water harvesting programs, and digging wells for drinking water.<\/p>\n Al Mazrouei confirmed that the AAAID is currently working to expand the activity of revolving loans for small and medium-sized farmers by mobilizing additional financial resources, beside its initiative to establish a revolving loan fund to finance a segment of small and medium-sized farmers and producers.<\/p>\n The idea and mechanism of the initiative is based on establishing the fund by attracting other contributors to the fund from financial institutions, investors and banks in the range of $150-200 million to provide the necessary financing to expand the financing activity for this segment in the Arab countries.<\/p>\n The Authority is preparing a feasibility study for the fund in cooperation with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development has announced an increase in peanuts productivity for small farmers in Sudan during the period 2015 – 2021 (tons\/ha), achieving an increase in productivity by a rate ranging between 66% – 199%.
