Sudan Events \u2013 Sumaya Sayed<\/strong><\/p>\n Egypt’s foreign minister said on Thursday that countries on the Red Sea have a responsibility to protect it.<\/p>\n “We continue to cooperate with many of our partners to provide suitable conditions for the freedom of navigation in the Red Sea,” Sameh Shoukry added in a press conference with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron in Cairo.<\/p>\n Greece said on Thursday it would send a naval frigate to the Red Sea to protect shipping after attacks by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi group.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, the Greek Shipping Ministry advised commercial ships sailing in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden to avoid Yemeni waters.
