I discovered that I am a pure mother-in-law, and this is what the war revealed to us. All of our families are residents of the ancient city of Omdurman, and when the war brought us to Port Sudan, we discovered that no one belonged to us. We lived in a beautiful popular neighborhood where our children integrated after a short period without barriers. There was the beginning, where her attention was caught by their involvement in new games that they saw for the first time. :I discovered that our children do not have attractive games.<\/div>\n
This story inspired me to come up with the idea of \u200b\u200ban artistic project that I hope will find funding so that it can see the light, and now I have begun writing it.<\/div>\n
It is to highlight the values \u200b\u200bin Sudanese games and the most important thing that distinguishes popular, group games, as there is no individual Sudanese game, unlike mobile or PlayStation games.<\/div>\n
Now I document these games to present them in a new way. I found that they call for social peace, and this is what we lack or is one of the causes of war. There must be peaceful coexistence and acceptance of the other. I thought about documenting these works and I hope they will see the light soon.<\/div>\n
* Theatre is\u00a0 awareness<\/strong><\/div>\n
Theater has a major awareness-raising role, according to Tahani Al-Basha. The playwrights in Madani provided an honorable model, as well as the playwrights in Port Sudan, who work to raise awareness of the dangers of war in shelter homes and to enlighten people about social peace and diseases and how to deal with them. I visited many shelter homes.<\/div>\n
Our work was done through the radio because the spread of cholera, as well as shelter homes, caused many diseases and fly infections. Sexual exploitation of women also appeared in shelter homes as one of the secrets of war. It was necessary to educate people from organizations, especially UNICEF, which paid attention to the matter and raised awareness. Theater and radio played a major role, but she believes that theater is The one closest to the people kept raising the slogan \u201cNo to war.\u201d<\/div>\n
The playwrights in the cities of Port Sudan, as well as the North and the River Nile , and those who work under these conditions, are, from her point of view, real theatremakers who believe in theater and its role in society and feel its value in such circumstances.<\/div>\n
We are ready to work and we are no less than the soldiers and we are ready to present what we see at this stage and in any way. It is a theatrical axiom that he should be the first to raise issues and raise awareness about them.<\/div>\n
*Additional burden<\/strong><\/div>\n
Women are the most affected by war, as they are at risk of losing their husband, father, brother, son, etc.<\/div>\n
Therefore, they are the most keen on spreading peace, and Watri Pasha has a great burden on her, as she is a mother and father in the event of absence and loss, as she plays a great role in upbringing.<\/div>\n
You also see that the war in Sudan is unlike any other war or conflict, so we have an additional responsibility: I call on women to pay attention to education, which the war works to stop. I hope that the new year will be a good year for the Sudanese people and that they will return to their homes, especially since people have a feeling that they will not meet again.<\/div>\n
* Gain and Loss<\/strong><\/div>\n
The year that was ending marked the departure. Tahani did not expect it to be a year of diaspora and destruction. Rather, she was hopeful that it would be a year of goodness, particularly since they worked with the German Agency for Training Farmers (Farmers\u2019 Markets): I was happy that it was a renaissance project and a project to change the concepts of small farmers, and I learned patience from them. This was One of our projects was with farmers in the Wad Ramli area. I felt that things would be better, but war was lurking.<\/div>\n
