The actor Al – Kindi Al-Amin<\/div>\n
\u00a0was honored last week by the Qatari-Sudanese Friendship Association, in the Qatari capital, Doha. Despite our question about the honor, the answer was the scenario of survival leading to the honor, as he told it to us<\/div>\n
* Diaspora<\/strong><\/div>\n
Al-Kindi does not hide his anger at the situation in Sudan, due to its direct effects on them: the war divided us, dispersed us, and ruined our lives.<\/div>\n
During the first five months from the beginning of the war, I was in Sudan for a month in Omdurman and four months in the northern Arak area at sub village in\u00a0 Merawi.<\/div>\n
The suffering there was indescribable and unbearable: life is difficult in the states where I do not work, and all of our primary dependence for livelihood is on our expatriate brothers.<\/div>\n
We were fifteen persons living in one house consisting of one bed room and two porches, me, my brothers and sisters, our children, my mother, and my father.<\/div>\n
Therefore, it was necessary to go out again and search for another station, so Al-Kindi decided to go to a new destination: My brother, the singer Salah Al-Amin, and I went out and came to Doha, Qatar, searching for a change in our situation and the situation of our family.<\/div>\n
We worked in residency, and now we are looking for work and singing the bitter estrangement, dear friend of our family.<\/div>\n
* Loss of memories<\/strong><\/div>\n
Al-Kindi said that he felt pain for what the Sudanese people went through, especially since they had become dispersed, displaced between inside and outside the country, and his family in particular.<\/div>\n
But the diaspora was not the worst thing that happened in that period: Our house, the big house in Omdurman, was looted, and a conflagration fell in it, destroying with it all our dreams and memories.<\/div>\n
Al-Kindi appreciated the mobilization that is taking place, as he sees it as a good step to protect the lives and property of the people:<\/div>\n
We did not expect this damned war for the capital to prepare for it. May Allah grant victory to the people and the Sudanese army, and this war will end and we will return to our country and build it better than it was.<\/div>\n
* Business stops<\/strong><\/div>\n
The war also stopped many of Al-Kindi\u2019s dramatic works. It stopped the series (Paths of Return), which was shown on Sudan TV and the Blue Nile Channel, and stopped showing it since episode 23, which is thirty episodes. We were preparing to film the Eid movie, and I met on a number of channels with the cast of the series. All of this did not happen. Because of the war, but now we have nothing to do with drama and theater, and I have longed for the radio, television, and theatrical work that the war deprived us of, to the point where I begin to feel that I will never be able to act again, and I feel that I will not be able to impersonate other characters, and all of this is because of the damned war.<\/div>\n
* Honouring<\/strong><\/div>\n
As for the honor, it was a point of light in the darkness of the past months, and an attempt to erase the exhaustion of the long journey of displacement, as if the organizing party knew its need for it: The honor was given by Dr. Haya Al-Dosari, President of the Qatari-Sudanese Friendship Association.<\/div>\n

She loves the Sudanese and has extensive relationships with a large number of them. She is grateful when she knows that creative people from Sudan are in Qatar and strives hard to honor and meet them. She learned from my friend Dr. Majid Abdel Qader, who is her legal advisor, that I was in Doha, so she sought to meet and honor me and she worked.<\/div>\n
