RSF Undermines Sudan’s Food Security

The Governor of Gezira Scheme, Dr. Omer Marzouk, renewed his confirmation that the Scheme employees, engineers, workers, and farmers, will not be able to carry out their work because the RSF Militia members are still occupying areas inside the Scheme and the administrative offices affiliated to it.
He stressed that the RSF militias were still present inside the Scheme.
In a statement to Sudan Events, Marzouk warned that large areas of the scheme would not be cultivated this season as they are exposed to thirst, and he expected this to contribute to food shortage the country.
