Private Sector: Millions of $US for mobilization

The Governor of the Northern State, Abdeen Awadallah, has revealed that the budget to be prepared for local mobilizations is estimated at 12.5 million dollars.
He indicated that the first spark of the war was initiated in the Northern State at Merowe Air Base, and it was thanks to the sheer determination of the troops stationed there that the rebellion was pushed away. He said likewise his government and the people in the state are determined to protect this state as the rebel target nowadays has been to plunder the resources and wealth of the state “captivate our women, and insult our dignity.”
The governor was addressing the Great Nafra meeting seeking to mobilize support and backing for the armed forces and popular resistance. The meeting was held in the Legislative Council Hall, Northern State
He underlined that:” We must all work on defensive plans, and the Supreme Committee has prepared a complete scenario that lacks money. You do have money, so your jihad with money is at the level of jihad with soul.”
Ahmed Al-Muddathir, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in the Northern State, opened the floor for donations on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce which, he announced, is donating one million dollars.
Businessman Azhari Al-Mubarak donated $2 million, and said that they stand with the armed forces in one trench, and that the merchants and miners must sacrifice two-thirds of their wealth in order for them to protect the remaining one third.
Abdul Rahman Al-Nadeef, Director the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company in the Northern State, praised the support of mining companies and their donation of 10 kg of gold, provided by each and every company.
