Port Sudan: New Gas Prices, Set

The Department of Transport and Petroleum (DTP) in the Red Sea State has announced a new price for a cylinder of cooking gas weighing “12.5” kilograms. The DTP in the state set that the price of a gas cylinder weighing “12.5” kilograms would be “13,500” pounds for the consumer in the city of Port Sudan. The DTP indicated that this price is based on the decision of the Economic Committee on the 17th of this month. The DTP addressed that decision to the relevant companies, and in this context, it was decided to implement it as of Thursday, the `18 th of January.
It is worth noting that the price of a cooking gas cylinder was “5,500” pounds, and then its price recently jumped to “18,000” pounds, before the DTP set the price of “13,500” for a gas cylinder .
