Al-Burhan arrives in New York
New York – Sudan Event
Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan Abdel Rahman, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, arrived in New York on Thursday, heading the Sudanese delegation participating in the seventy-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The President of the Sovereignty Council is scheduled to deliver Sudan’s speech before the United Nations General Assembly. He will also participate in high-level meetings to discuss enhancing multilateral cooperation with regard to various international and regional issues at hand.
On the sidelines of the 78th session, Al-Burhan will meet with a number of presidents from various countries of the world and representatives of international and regional organizations, to discuss ways of bilateral cooperation and the role of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the United Nations to build a more stable future.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council is accompanied by Foreign Minister-designate Ali Al-Sadiq, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, and Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.
