The 2nd Edition of Qatar University Book Fair Concludes

The activities of the second edition of the Qatar University Book Fair 2024, organized in cooperation between Qatar University Press and the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum at the Ministry of Culture, concluded yesterday.
The exhibition lasted for 5 days, with the participation of 39 publishers, research centers and publishing houses, in addition to 8 contributions from universities and research and publishing centers from 5 Arab countries.
It witnessed many cultural events that brought together writers and creators from inside and outside the State of Qatar, and enjoyed a large audience turnout.
The exhibition’s activities were characterized by scientific sessions and intellectual seminars that were the focus of attention of researchers, thinkers and academics. It discussed a group of issues related to cultural and heritage affairs.
At the conclusion of the exhibition activities, the Director of Qatar University Press, Dr. Fatima Al-Suwaidi, praised the cooperation with the Ministry of Culture in organizing this cultural event and holding it annually, which contributes to supporting Qatar University’s strategies in spreading Arab and Islamic culture, caring for cultural heritage, protecting it, preserving it, and introducing it. and enhancing cultural and intellectual security.”
