Chambers of Industry: The industrial sector has completely stopped
Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
The Secretary-General of the Federation of Sudanese Chambers of Industry, Ashraf Salah Mohamed Nour El-Din, said that the industrial sector is now considered to have completely stopped working due to the war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces. However, he pointed out in his interview with (Sudan Events) some small factories located in safe states on the Nile River or Sinar or Al-Manaqil.
Ashraf Salah revealed that very few factories were able to transfer some of their equipment and not all of it from Khartoum State, indicating that most of them moved to Gezira State, but the extension of the war caused them heavy losses and their equipment was looted, indicating that they are small factories whose production ranges between 20-30%.
