Seaport Corporation reveal an increase in livestock exports and imports

A recent report issued by the Sea ports Corporation (Sudan) revealed that the total exports from Sudan during the month of July of the current year 2023 amounted to approximately 142,331 tons, and total imports amounted to 427,111, bringing the total quantity of tons exported and imported to 569,442 tons. Last June witnessed the arrival of 91 ships to operating ports, while last August witnessed the arrival of 112 ships.
The number of ships that arrived at the operating ports during the month of July was about 81 ships, the total number of livestock exported during the same month was about 215,215 heads, the number of containers was 18,166 containers, and the total number of passengers was about 36,386 passengers, while the total number of vehicles was 629, and the total number of refrigerators was 690 and the total number of pallets reached was 7,995.
Indicators show that there is an increase in the number of ships arriving at operating ports, and an increase in the movement of exported livestock, containers, passengers, vehicles and refrigerators, while an increase in imports and in total tons imported and exported, an increase in the movement of exported livestock, containers, passengers, vehicles and refrigerators, and an increase in imports and in total of imported and exported.
It is known that the operating ports have continued to operate without interruption since the repercussions of the current crisis, despite the decrease in withdrawals outside the ports, and the ports had an appreciated and major role in evacuation operations by sea.
