Bahrain National Team Ends its Contract with Coach Pizzi

The Bahrain Football Association terminated its contract with Argentine coach Juan Antonio Pizzi by mutual consent between the two parties, according to the federation’s statement on Thursday.
“Termination of the contract with the technical and administrative staff of the first national football team, by mutual consent between the two parties.” He announced in a statement.
“The Federation’s Board of Directors extends its thanks and appreciation to the technical and administrative staff of the first national team, led by Argentine coach Juan Pizzi, during the recent period, wishing them continued success in their future journey.” He added.
The Federation’s Board of Directors confirmed that it will, during the coming period, study a number of CVs presented to succeed Coach Pizzi in preparation for choosing one of them, and revealing the identity of the team’s technical and administrative staff, especially with the team about to complete its journey in the double qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.
Bahrain was eliminated from the round of 16 in the Asian Cup finals hosted by Qatar after losing to Japan 1-3.
Bahrain played in the group stage within the fifth group, and began its campaign by losing to South Korea 1-3, then won over Malaysia and Jordan, respectively, 1-0, to lead with 6 points.
