Klopp is the Premier League’s coach of the month for the tenth time

German Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool coach, won the Best Coach Award in the English Premier League for the month of January.
The official website of the English Premier League stated today, Friday, that Klopp received the award for the tenth time in his career in the prestigious tournament, and the first since May 2021.
The association’s website added that Klopp is on par with Scot David Moyes, the current West Ham United coach, in the number of times he has won the award.
Liverpool, led by Klopp, was the only team in the Premier League that played 3 matches and won them all last January, the month in which he announced that he would leave the club at the end of the current season.
During the past month, Liverpool defeated Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Chelsea, noting that it scored 4 goals in each victory, to maintain the top spot in the competition, which it seeks to regain the title it has lost in the last three seasons.
The victory over Chelsea holds a special memory for Klopp, as he became the seventh coach in the history of the Premier League to reach 200 victories, with this number achieved during the second fewest number of matches, according to the association’s website.
Klopp outperformed the rest of the candidates for the award, including Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, Rob Edwards (Luton Town), and Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), after receiving the largest number of votes from the fans as well as the committee of football experts.
