Universities Inform the AU of their Losses Resulted from the war

Chancellors of many governmental Sudanese Universities reviewed to the delegation of the African Union AU Mechanism the losses of universities in the war between the army SAF and the Rapid Support RSF yesterday evening in the temporary administrative capital, Port Sudan.
According to what was reported by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Chancellor of Al-Nilein University, Chancellor of Gezira University, Chancellor of Al-Butana University, and Chancellor of Sennar University met with the delegation.
The Chancellors accused the Rapid Support Forces RSF of causing huge losses in university headquarters, research centers, libraries and facilities, and looting and destroying educational hospitals in the capital, Khartoum, and the states of Darfur, Gezira , and Sennar. .
The delegation affirmed that it would convey the details of what university Chancellor s made to the African Union AU and contribute to facilitating joint cooperation between Sudanese and African Universities.

Many Sudanese universities in the center, west, and south of the country were damaged by the war that has been going on since April of last year, as they witnessed widespread looting and vandalism that caused major damage to their infrastructure, laboratories, and property.
