Poet Ibtihal Mustafa: My Coronation came when I was in extreme pain

– I was honored to receive a high-level award

– I write and try to find my homeland that I will not give up on

Sudanese poet Ibtihal Mustafa Triter won the Prince Abdullah bin Faisal Prize for Arabic Poetry in its 5th season, for her poetry collection (I Sew to the Size of Perfume), which was worth100,000 Saudi riyals.
The poet Mohamed Abdel Bari had previously won the award in a previous session
Engineer Ibtihal Mustafa showed her poetic talent early. She attracted attention as she was proficient in poetry and recitation.
Then poetry and its issues took a large part of her practical interest, as Ibtihal worked in the House of Arabic-Sudanese Poetry under the leadership of Dr. Siddiq Omar Siddiq and a number of youth poets participated in organizing many poetry evenings and poetry festivals.
Interest:
The war taking place in Khartoum did not take away Ibtihal’s interest in poetry. As soon as she saw an announcement about the award, she quickly applied for it. She said in an exclusive

 

I applied for the award in the middle of the war, Sukhoi time, and I was not sure that the application would arrive due to the fluctuation of the Internet, and I forgot about it until I was surprised months later. Long and I just left Sudan that I was invited to attend the Al-Faisal Award and that I won the Diwan, and Ibtihal said that she was very happy with this win: This win is great ,because it is the decisive factor, and because I was honored to receive a high-level award from a capable and honest committee, one of the greatest critics in the Arab world, and this deserves respect, and this coronation came while I was in the utmost pain and sadness.
New Poetry :
Even the pain and sadness for what is going on in the homeland, translated by Ibtihal Poetry: I wrote many poems that mixed death and hope together. Between a homeland that was lost by politicians and a bleak future and endless diaspora, I try to find my homeland that I will not give up on. I am the daughter of Sudan and I am returning to its Nile, its mountains, its tan, and my glory in its splendor.
Honoring
It is worth noting that Ibtihal was crowned at the beginning of the week at the ceremony announcing the winners of the Prince Abdullah bin Faisal Award for Arabic Poetry in its 5th season, under the patronage of Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Area Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Arab Poetry, and in the presence of members of the Board of Trustees.
He won in all branches of the award. Who: The winner of the Poetic Experience Award, the poet Abdelkarim Al-Tabbal, from the Kingdom of Morocco, valued at 500,000 Saudi riyals, and the winner of the Diwan Award, the poet Ibtihal Triter from the Republic of Sudan, for her poetry collection, I Sew to the Size of Perfume, valued at 100,000 Saudi Riyals.
